The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving [the Foundation], which owns the College Scholarships for the Greater Hartford Area website, maintains the highest level of confidentiality with respect to scholarship applicant information, pursuant to the Protection of Confidential Personal Information Policy.

The Foundation may share data with trusted partners to help us process applications, perform statistical analysis, send email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to the Hartford Foundation, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

The Foundation’s Protection of Confidential Personal Information Policy does not apply to information applicants consent to give to third parties not affiliated with the Foundation. Any information applicants give to another party is governed by the rules of that party's privacy policy, which may differ from the Foundation’s. The Foundation is not responsible for information given to other parties. Please review their privacy policies prior to providing any information to third parties.

The Foundation does not sell, trade, or exchange its mailing lists. Recipients of Foundation mail or electronic mail messages may opt-out of any lists maintained by the Foundation and used for such communication.

From time to time, scholarship recipient names and biographies may be listed in Foundation publications and on its website; however, recipients are given the option of remaining anonymous.
